Areeb Pathan
Securing the digital world, one exploit at a time.
I’m Areeb Pathan, a BCA student exploring the depths of ethical hacking. I focus on understanding how systems break so I can learn how to fix them.
About Me
Who I am and what drives me.
The Student
I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA). While my degree gives me the theoretical foundation in programming and databases, my passion lies in the practical side of Cybersecurity. I spend my free time in labs, testing vulnerabilities, and reading security documentation.
The Hacker
- Web Application Penetration Testing
- Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) investigations
- Python scripting for security automation
- Privacy awareness and Digital Safety
Education
Formal studies and self-taught skills.
BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications)
Focusing on Computer Science fundamentals. Connecting academic concepts like DBMS and Networking to real-world security scenarios.
CTFs & Labs
Active participant in online learning platforms. I believe in "learning by doing," regularly practicing on intentionally vulnerable machines to sharpen my skills.
Tools & Experiments
Projects I've built to learn.
RustyHook
A terminal-based tool concept to demonstrate phishing flows. It simulates credential capture scenarios to help understand how attacks are delivered and how to detect them.
FaceStalker
A concept tool for reverse image searching and profile enumeration. It demonstrates how much data can be gathered from a single photo, emphasizing the importance of privacy.
